On Psychoanalysis

The School of Psychoanalysis

Psychology is the study of behavior. To argue whether it is a science or not is irrelevent. To study means to love or pursue wisdom, hence "philosophia". Traditionally, knowledge or "scienta" is only attributed to God, as all humans strive towards Him and his wisdom, he alone is comprehending and possesing of this wisdom. Thus, to study is to love God. But the modern notion of what constitutes as "real" science, or "hard" science, is just empiricism without their actual epistemology and the reasoning to their metaphysics. In other words, to follow modern "science", one must purely work within the boundaries of "materia" and disregard any assertion or assumption that challenges the supremacy of our perception of material. Thus, whenever an unexplained variable is introduced, that is fundamental to the constitution of said material, then one must assume that the properties stem from matter, even if there is no visual evidence for such thing. Ironically, in their pursuit of pure materialism, they have disregarded what they see for things they claim to be infinitesimally small or uncomprehendingly huge, in other words, on things beyond physics.
Clearly, to focus on only either the apparent and the unseen is treacherous to the love of wisdom, as wisdom is all-encompasing. Reality is beyond the discrete and likewise, beyond the apparent. Both are illusions of the Real. If knowledge must be true, then what is the Truth other than Reality? Then, what is the Real other than the Beautious?(Tawhid ul-asma')
Psychology today, as a practice, is an insult compared to what it used to be only a century ago(Though, the beginnings of Psychology are not that innocent, either.) This is not to say that the practice is filled with idiots. As what they say, "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity", I'd like to refrain from assuming such things. Instead, Psychology is filled with brilliant minds, and of course, malice. Even in the perspective of evolutionary thinking, it would be fitting to assume, the intuition of humans to assume that "everyone is out to get me" is one emotion that has much importance in the pragmatic view of death or survival.
So, as a supposed monkey-descendent, I'm of the point of view that the very institution of modern psychology is not one of helping the populace, but instead of exploiting them and decimating their human natures in favour of utopian utilitarian social systems that are bound to dismantle themselves and implode. There is nothing more hurtful to society than a person of intellect utilising his gifts in the name of progress. So, psychology, as a practice, to actually love wisdom, must not look to the future, but instead to the past.
The structure of the family is an integral part of traditional life. It can be attributed, that most of the woes of modern life stems from the dissolution of such frameworks. The family serves as a support structure for people, primarily young, to learn from each other, support each other and care for each other. When this is lost, you will find many people looking for substitutes towards the family. A conversation with your wife is infinitely more worthwhile than a visit to the therapist. The wife, unlike the therapist, is a
